This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

DAYS - 12HR: 3A-3P / 7A-7P rotation, 36 hours per week. Requires 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other week, and at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the East 7 Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in providing care to patients with acute medical and surgical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including cardiac drips.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Utilize ventilators and manage acute BiPAP as necessary.
• Participate in patient care planning and evaluation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Float to other units as required to support facility needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in acute PCU and med surg/tele nursing.
• Active NY RN license required.
• Certified in NIH, AHA BLS, and ACLS.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Recent experience with cardiac drips, ventilators, and acute BiPAP is mandatory.
