Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective return to community activities, and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain detailed medical record documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in the student program by providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
• Actively create a professional development plan and pursue ongoing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and complete required continuing education.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to safety policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule, starting October 12th, with 60-minute evaluations and follow-ups every 30 minutes.
