Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Holiday Season

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide essential nursing care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, performing both direct and indirect resident care in accordance with established protocols. The LPN must demonstrate a solid understanding of the principles of patient care specific to the age and needs of the residents served, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, responding promptly to calls and ensuring safety measures are implemented.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery and feeding as per individual preferences.
• Implement rehabilitative and restorative care as outlined in the care plan, including mobility assistance and proper body alignment.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY LPN Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an LPN, preferably in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings
• High School Diploma or GED

Schedule

This position requires commitment through the holiday season, with shifts available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a total of 24 hours weekly.
