Day shift, 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00). Alternating weekends are required.

Job Description

The Neuro/PCU Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care for patients in a progressive care unit. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice are maintained. This position requires strong tele competency and effective communication skills, as you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage patient outcomes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate care with medical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Educate patients and families on health management and wellness.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Telemetry competency required.
