Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7 PM - 7 AM) with holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Stepdown RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in stepdown care and be able to manage multiple patients effectively while ensuring safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in a stepdown unit.
• Perform assessments, create care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Participate in emergency response teams as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of RN experience required, specifically in a stepdown/telemetry unit.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina RN license or a Compact license prior to start.
• Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS. NIHSS is preferred.
