Stepdown Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, managing complex medical conditions, and performing nursing procedures. This role requires the ability to float between similar units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Float between units when necessary to meet facility needs.
• Educate patients and their families regarding their health and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience required.
• Current South Carolina RN License or Compact License required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
