Echocardiography Technologist

Schedule

Shift: Sunday 0800-1200; Monday-Thursday 0800-1730 with a 30-minute lunch; Friday-Saturday off.

Job Description

The Echocardiography Technologist performs various types of echocardiograms, including adult transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms. This position assists in transesophageal echocardiography in accordance with established practices and procedures, providing preliminary diagnostic evaluations and notifying cardiologists of examination results.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms.
• Assist in transesophageal echocardiography procedures.
• Provide preliminary diagnostic evaluations and communicate findings to cardiologists.
• Consult with cardiologists to establish requirements for non-standard examinations.
• Determine technical factors necessary to satisfy examination requirements.
• Participate in call rotation, with a minimum of 10 days per month, including holiday rotation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certification in echocardiography or related field is preferred.
• Experience in performing echocardiograms is required.
