5x8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:00.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Triage Cardiology Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves working in an outpatient cardiology clinic, focusing on the assessment and management of patients preparing for or recovering from cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in triaging patient calls and messages, effectively utilizing clinic protocols and provider guidance to ensure patient care is optimized.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient calls and messages using clinic protocols.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patient symptoms and determine appropriate escalation.
• Reinforce medication instructions as ordered by the providers.
• Manage and assess patients with complex medical histories, including anticoagulation management and post-procedure follow-ups.
• Perform vital signs checks and obtain 12-lead EKGs as needed.
• Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications and medication adherence.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in an outpatient cardiology and triage setting is required.
• Current RN License in Washington or a Compact License if applicable.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Certification in BLS is required.
