Job Description

The Interventional Cardiology RN will provide care to cardiology patients preparing for or recovering from various cardiovascular procedures. The nurse will engage in patient assessments, triage, and the management of post-procedure care for medically complex patients, ensuring adherence to medication protocols and recognizing urgent symptoms.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and assess vital signs and health history
• Interpret arrhythmias and manage cardiac emergencies
• Provide patient education on lifestyle and medication adherence
• Engage in telephone triage and patient engagement
• Collaborate on quality improvement initiatives within the team
• Monitor for and escalate urgent symptoms, including chest pain and stroke-like symptoms

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of RN experience in an outpatient cardiology clinic setting and triage
• Current RN license or compact license
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
