5x8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM

Job Description

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiology RN to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to cardiology patients, preparing them for and assisting with their recovery from various procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outpatient cardiology and triage settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, including obtaining vital signs and health questionnaires.
• Interpret arrhythmias and respond to cardiac emergencies, including chest pain and cardiac arrest.
• Provide oxygen administration and management of pulmonary conditions.
• Conduct telephone triage, providing guidance based on patient needs.
• Educate patients on lifestyle changes and medication adherence.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and engage in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN in an outpatient cardiology clinic and triage settings.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Certifications such as BLS are preferred.
