5x8 Hour Shift; Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care in a community-based acute care hospital. The therapist will work in a variety of settings, addressing multiple diagnoses including post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, and general medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patient mobility and function.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care physical therapy.
• Current BLS certification.
• A valid California physical therapist license.
• Experience with patient assessments, discharge planning, and rehabilitative exercises.
• Knowledge in managing conditions such as COPD, CHF, and post-stroke rehabilitation.
