Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma, Neuro, Vascular & Ortho Experience Required

Day Shift: 4x12 hours, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM. May require covering one night shift within the contract as needed.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care in an acute care setting, specializing in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and safety for all patients.
• Manage and monitor patient care during and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system (Epic).
• Participate in on-call duties as required, which may include night and weekend shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting.
• Trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience is required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid California RN license.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is preferred.
