Registered Nurse - Float

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Float will provide nursing care across various medical and surgical units. This position is essential in ensuring patient health and satisfaction during their stay. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care and exhibit flexibility to adapt to different environments within the healthcare setting.

Schedule

This role requires 12-hour shifts, scheduled from 0645 to 1915, for a total of 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours beyond the scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various units.
• Utilize Meditech EMR systems for patient documentation and management.
• Manage and administer medical equipment, including pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Adapt to different unit requirements and patient populations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of nursing experience required.
• Current Hawaii RN license is mandatory by the start of the assignment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred.
