Registered Nurse - Medical Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift - Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Flexibility to work various shift lengths and days is required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Medical Unit, utilizing Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes. Candidates must obtain a Hawaii License upon acceptance of the offer and provide proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exception prior to the contract start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a Medical Unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 for days and eves, and 1:8 for nights.
• Utilize medical unit equipment effectively and safely.
• Possibly float to Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must possess an active State of Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment.
