Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide both routine and complex care in a clinical setting. This position demands the ability to manage contingencies in clinical nursing while effectively meeting long-range goals and plans. The nurse will demonstrate comprehensive awareness of relevant aspects of patient situations and make appropriate assignments to other care providers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Active RN License in the state of employment or a compact license.
