Registered Nurse - Med Surg Neuro Nights

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med Surg Neuro unit. The position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients with neurological conditions during the night shifts. The unit operates on a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, and applicants should be prepared to activate rapid response teams when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform nursing assessments.
• Provide care for patients with cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) and other neurological conditions.
• Utilize Epic charting for documentation.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy and Respiratory Services.
• Implement isolation precautions as necessary.
• Manage and care for surgical drains, feeding tubes, and IVs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg nursing experience.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• CPI certification preferred.
• Must have experience with a patient ratio of 1:6.
• New travelers accepted; previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as travelers.
