Job Description

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides direct care for acutely and critically ill patients who are at high risk for life-threatening health problems. The ICU staff deliver care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that offers intensive monitoring, assessments, and necessary interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor patient status.
• Implement advanced nursing interventions in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Manage complex patient cases requiring intensive monitoring.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Level certification is required.
• AHA ACLS and NIHSS certifications are required for GSR ICU-CCU.
• PALS and TNCC certifications are preferred.
• 3 years of previous ICU experience preferred.
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required per College of American Pathologists (CAP) standards.
