Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, offering options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage requires working 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical unit. The nurse will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, care management, and the implementation of clinical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Document patient care and interventions using Epic charting.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in rapid response team activations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent experience in a Med Surg unit required.
• Current BCLS certification required; CPI preferred.
• Ability to float to like units as needed.
