Registered Nurse - Med Surg - Nights

This position requires availability for night shifts, specifically from 18:30 to 07:00, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

The Med Surg unit seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for night shifts. The ideal candidate will provide care for stroke and surgery patients, working in a telemetry environment. The unit has central monitoring technology available 24/7, although interpretation of dysrhythmias is not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for stroke and surgical patients.
• Administer medications, including blood products and insulin.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Provide BiPAP/CPAP management and feeding tube care.
• Help with pre/post-operative care for neurosurgery and hemodialysis patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient rehabilitation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience required.
• Must possess a current BLS certification.
• Travel nursing experience is welcomed but not required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Ability to float to similar units based on facility needs.
