Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

California, within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with flexibility required for weekends.

Job Description

Seeking a strong caregiver to support the PM shift in a bustling Labor and Delivery department. The ideal candidate will have precepting skills and must be flexible to float to mother-baby units as needed. A commitment to high-quality patient care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with labor and delivery of patients in various situations, including high-risk deliveries.
• Support postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
• Perform necessary assessments and interventions to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with training and precepting of new staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery required.
• Active CA RN License is mandatory.
• Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced or C-EFM, BCLS, NRP.
• Experience with Epic charting system is essential.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
