CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Job Description

Join our 19-bed mixed unit, providing high-acuity surgical heart care within a collaborative and supportive team environment. Our CVICU/CVRU team specializes in advanced cardiac procedures and ensures top-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care for patients recovering from heart surgeries, including ECMO, Impellas, IABP, and LVAD procedures.
• Perform essential tasks such as ambulating patients, pulling chest tubes, managing hemodynamics, and intubation/extubation.
• Collaborate with an experienced nursing team, including charge nurses and educators, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support the continuous learning and professional growth within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU or CVRU setting.
• Strong commitment and enthusiasm for surgical heart care.
• Preferred certifications in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care.
