Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The goal is to design functional treatment programs that facilitate patients' effective return to community activities. Additionally, the therapist serves as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge within an established length of stay.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in the student program as assigned and provide a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and apply the organization's performance improvement methodology to improve service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active license for the state where work will be performed.
• Previous successful assignments with the agency are highly desired.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
