Outpatient Physical Therapist - New Grad

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and design functional treatment programs to facilitate a successful return to community activities. This role also involves educating patients, families, students, and coworkers, and performing other professional duties associated with patient care and service development.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans.
• Document all medical records in a clear, concise, and timely manner, in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure patient care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in student programs by providing appropriate supervision and completing evaluations.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to all state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and apply organizational performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
