Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to support effective returns to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while adhering to the organization's Code of Conduct and maintaining compliance with relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develops appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Ensures all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Documents patient care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Participates in student program assignments, providing a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursues professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adheres to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintains professional licensure.
• Demonstrates awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
• Active and applicable license for the State where work will be performed.

Schedule

This position offers a 5x8.0 schedule, with shifts determined by clinic needs.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
