Will work 3x12s, MIDS, 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM with holiday rotation; rotating weekends; on-call required for up to 2 shifts per month.

Job Description

The Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will play a critical role in the surgical team within a Level 1 trauma center. The CST is responsible for preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, including maintaining sterile environments, assisting surgeons, and ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile environments for surgical procedures.
• Assist in the setup of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Work with the surgical team to provide patient care during operations.
• Handle instruments and supplies to assist in successful surgical procedures.
• Participate in the cleaning and stocking of the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting is required.
• Experience in Neuro, ENT, and Robotics cases is highly preferred.
• Certification from NBSTSA is required; BLS certification is also needed.
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency.
• Active South Carolina RN license or proof of pending application is necessary.
