Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Operating Room

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-Hour Day Shifts: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM with rotating weekends and holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will provide surgical support in a dynamic and busy operating room within a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will assist with various surgical cases including Neuro, ENT, Robotics, and Ortho.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team with instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in patient care and maintain patient safety throughout surgical interventions.
• Engage in effective communication with team members regarding patient needs.
• Adapt to a variety of surgical specialties and procedures as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Preferred experience in Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Da Vinci Xi) cases.
• Certification: NBSTSA required (NCCT not accepted); BLS certification.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a South Carolina RN license.
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by the agency).
