5x8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization and decontamination of medical instruments and equipment. The technician will ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in sterilization procedures.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and wrap surgical instruments and trays.
• Perform sterilization processes, including steam and high-level disinfection.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment usage.
• Conduct routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on sterilization equipment.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper instrument availability for surgeries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is required.
• Certification in Sterile Processing through CBSPD or HSPA is mandatory.
• Experience with Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases is preferred.
