This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8s, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with holiday rotation. No weekend requirements.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of medical instruments and equipment to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care in a Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment usage, and inventory.
• Assist in managing the workflow of the sterile processing area.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments.
• Follow established protocols for infection control and safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Experience in Level I Trauma settings is required.
• National Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA are mandatory.
• Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases is preferred.
• Eligible to float within facility scope as needed.
