Pathology Assistant

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift starting between 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. No weekend or holiday requirements.

Job Description

The Pathology Assistant will work within one of three gross room locations: Main Ruby, Children's, or Innovation Corp (opening 7/27). The primary responsibility includes grossing of simple and complex tissue specimens, supporting the Anatomic Pathology department.

Responsibilities

• Gross simple and complex tissue specimens.
• Utilize the Epic Beaker AP system and voice recognition programs.
• Efficiently manage increased case complexity and volume.
• Collaborate with clinical teams within an academic medical center.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ASCP Certification as Pathologists' Assistant is required.
• Completion of a Pathologists' Assistant program is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Anatomic Pathology is required.
• Experience with Epic Beaker AP and voice recognition software is preferred.
