Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 12-hour night shift position, requiring weekend availability as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in caring for expectant mothers and newborns, and will be comfortable with high-stakes situations typical in labor and delivery settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns in labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure the safety of both mother and child.
• Administer medications and assist with labor processes, including assisting during C-sections when necessary.
• Stabilize newborns and ensure proper care practices in the nursery.
• Float to other units such as MedSurg or ER as needed, while maintaining 'clean' status for potential deliveries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery, particularly with C-section circulation.
• Ability to work weekends and participate in holiday rotation as needed.
