Outpatient Physical Therapist

Schedule

This is a 5x8 shift assignment with evaluations lasting 60 minutes and follow-up sessions every 30 minutes.

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-month contract position, starting August 24th.

Job Description

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to each patient's needs, goals, and physician directions. You will be responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. Your role also involves ensuring functional treatment programs are designed to facilitate effective community activity returns while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals, progressing towards discharge within established timeframes.
• Document patient care clearly, accurately, and timely in compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Provide education to patients, families, students, and fellow staff members.
• Participate in student program as assigned, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Maintain compliance with state practice acts and other regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist license for the state where work will be performed.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
