Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule or Shift

Nights - 12-hour shift: 7 PM to 7 AM. 36 and 48 hours available per week with 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry Unit. The unit consists of 37 beds and requires nurses to be adaptable and ready to meet the needs of our patients. Flexibility in scheduling is a must as staff may be required to float to other units if needed and may be asked to work in a charge role.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in an acute care environment.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
