Outpatient Physical Therapist – 13 Week Contract

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for the assigned patients and ensures the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective returns to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and for their own professional development.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans focused on patient progression towards discharge.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in the student program by supervising students and developing learning objectives.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete state mandated continuing education requirements.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license for practicing as a Physical Therapist.
