Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac floor setting. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit focused on post-operative cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions including Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, and Post MI.
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, ensuring proper titration as needed.
• Perform sheath removals and manage chest tubes (Emerson/Pleuravac).
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide post-operative care for various cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Traveler experience is required unless the candidate has over 24 months of cardiac experience.
• North Carolina or Compact RN license, pending license acceptable for submission.
