Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our MS/Tele unit. The RN must possess mandatory competencies in phlebotomy and IV placement to ensure comprehensive patient care. This role demands proficiency in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, along with expertise in the use of Rapid Response Teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients with cardiac and stroke diagnoses.
• Manage a patient ratio of 5-7 patients per RN during the day/evening shifts and 6-10 patients at night.
• Conduct vital signs, blood glucose checks, and other daily living activities through collaboration with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
• Perform phlebotomy and IV placements as required.
• Utilize Epic for charting and maintain accurate patient records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary support and rapid response team activations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in an MS/Tele environment.
• Current BLS certification required.
• New York state RN license required in hand for submission.
• Experience with Epic charting system strongly preferred.
• Ability to float between MS, ICU, and ED units as necessary.
