ICU Float Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

D/E/N rotating shift schedules, every other weekend (EOW), holidays/on-call/callback/charge per unit needs.

Job Description

The position offers exposure to a variety of ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, Respiratory Special Care, and Surgical Progressive Care. Candidates should demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to remain current in knowledge of critical care. RNs will be assigned to the intensive care units with the greatest staffing need.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in an ICU setting.
• Utilize strong critical thinking and organizational skills to manage patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Stay informed about advancements and best practices in critical care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (must possess NY License)
• Two (2) years of ICU acute care experience required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
