Monday 8 AM - 5 PM, Tuesday/Thursday 9 AM - 7 PM, Wednesday 7 AM - 4 PM, Friday 7 AM - 1 PM
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration. This role also involves patient, family, student, and coworker education, as well as other professional duties related to patient care, the development of therapy services, and program delivery. The Physical Therapist must uphold the organization’s values and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans aimed at achieving patient discharge within an established length of stay.
- Document care delivery in a clear, concise, and timely manner while adhering to compliance guidelines.
- Participate in student programs, providing guidance and supervision, and complete evaluations as required.
- Actively pursue professional development through education and involvement in professional activities.
- Adhere to state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing with the required continuing education.
- Participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
- Active CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state licensure for practicing as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience with outpatient orthopedic therapy preferred.
