Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while demonstrating behaviors consistent with the organization's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and clinic standards.
• Ensure patient care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval parameters.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Create and actively pursue individualized professional development plans, engaging in continuing education and professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and follow organizational performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active state license applicable to the location of work.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
