Medical Surgical RN - Traveler Position

Schedule

This is a 12-hour afternoon shift, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, totaling 48 hours per week. Travelers are required to be available for two holidays: Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day, including surrounding days.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical RN will provide nursing care in a medical-surgical setting and be prepared to float to any MS unit as needed. This position requires a strong background in medical-surgical nursing, telemetry experience, and the ability to handle multiple patients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions and respond appropriately.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures as required.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Document patient interactions and care provided in line with facility policy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Must be willing to float to any MS unit.
• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly required.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be uploaded at profile submission.
