Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts: 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Options for 36 or 48 hours per week are available, with a requirement of 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit, which has 37 beds. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility based on the unit's needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical tele unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting findings appropriately.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as per care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support patient education and discharge planning.
• Be willing to float to other units if needed and take charge when required.

Required Experience and Certifications

• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license and AHA BLS certification.
