Registered Nurse - PACU

Assignment Duration

This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule

Night and Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (Day: 07:30 - 19:30; Night: 19:00 - 07:00). Rotating shifts with weekends, on-call, and holiday requirements.

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience, with at least two years in an ICU setting. Experience in both ICU and PACU is preferred, however, if a decision must be made, ICU experience will take precedence.

Responsibilities

• Provide vigilant pre and post-operative care to outpatients and inpatients.
• Administer medications and manage titration of vasopressors.
• Perform airway management, care of ventilated patients, and blood product administration.
• Support clinical flexibility outside of traditional peri-anesthesia care.
• Assist in handling patient overflow from the Trauma Resuscitation Unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Experience in trauma care and knowledge of relevant procedures.
