Job Description

The position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) unit. The RN will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while managing a variety of complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the IMC unit, focusing on respiratory and medical telemetry needs.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring timely intervention for patient changes.
• Administer medications and treatment as per care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans.
• Perform routine assessments, document patient progress, and communicate effectively with healthcare team and family members.
• Float to med/surg units as required based on staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an RN in an IMC or a similar setting.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and interpreting telemetry strips is essential.
• Mandatory onboarding education modules completion required.
