L&D Registered Nurse

Schedule

Rotating shifts based on department needs, initially starting on nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Shifts may change to days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

The L&D Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit. This role will require flexibility to work nights and days as needed, ensuring all patients receive comprehensive care during their stay.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after labor and delivery.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding labor and delivery processes.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous treatments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Required immunizations and health checks, including COVID-19 vaccination, MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, and a physical statement.
• Completion of a Trinity Skills Checklist and any applicable specialty-specific competency testing.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
