AM shifts, 5 × 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist administers ionizing radiation while performing screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with established protocols. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and related medical terminology. The technologist maintains precise breast positioning, optimizes imaging parameters, and upholds radiation protection and safety standards to ensure high-quality patient care and imaging results.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following established protocols.
• Utilize independent professional judgment and critical thinking to evaluate and optimize imaging outcomes.
• Communicate effectively and sensitively with patients, considering their physical, cultural, and emotional needs.
• Participate in quality improvement processes and consistently assess professional performance.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations and demonstrate knowledge of quality control and assurance requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General and relevant experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Registered Technologist (R) or Registered Technologist (R) (M) required.
