Registered Nurse - ICU Contract Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: ROTATION - 12HR (7A-7P / 3P-3A or 3P-3A / 7P-7A). Candidates will not be scheduled for multiple shift types within the same week, with 1 weekend shift required per week or 2 weekend shifts every other week. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

The position involves providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care and progress in the electronic health record (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of recent experience in the ICU.
• Active New York RN license.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
