Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Unit

This is a night shift position consisting of 4 twelve-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, pastoral care experience, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver patient care to a ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse.
• Utilize advanced charting systems and provide accurate documentation of patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed.
• Ensure proper use and management of peripheral lines and non-invasive airway devices.
• Uphold isolation precautions and maintain patient safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of previous charge experience in a hospital setting.
• Active New York State RN license.
• BLS certification required.
