Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical Unit

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in charge nursing and demonstrate proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia management. The nurse will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load of 5-6 patients per shift.
• Utilize experience with charting systems effectively to maintain accurate patient records.
• Respond promptly to rapid response and code situations as necessary.
• Conduct thorough assessments and provide appropriate interventions for patients on telemetry.
• Administer oxygen and manage the usage of nasal cannulas and oxygen tanks.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of previous charge nurse experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid New York State RN license.
