Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing with pediatric experience. The role requires providing critical care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, children, adults, and geriatrics. The emergency department consists of 64 beds and encompasses various specialized areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Manage patients with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Administer required medications and manage drips as necessary.
• Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Assist in triaging patients and coordinating care within a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in floating to different areas within the department as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in New York.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• TNCC certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ED experience with pediatric exposure.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
• Travel experience is required.
• Drivers license with address that matches demographics required.
