Registered Nurse - Emergency Observation Unit

Schedule

Nights - 12 Hour Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, 36 hours per week. Weekend requirement includes one weekend shift per contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least one holiday per contract.

This is a 16-week contract position.

Job Description

Join our Emergency Observation Unit, a dedicated 13-bed unit providing 24-hour observation care. The role includes assistance with ED boarder patients awaiting admission.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency observation environment.
• Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient interactions and care in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience and Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience.
• Active New York RN license.
• Current certifications in NIH, AHA BLS, and PALS.
• A minimum of 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates.
