Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Department, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The position involves managing various critical conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The RN will utilize specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun, to aid in treatment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient conditions and create individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system (EPIC).
• Participate in floating as needed across various units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department; PEDS experience preferred.
• Valid New York RN license with current NURSYS verification.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Documented travel experience is required.
• Drivers license with address matching demographics.
